Both the Original Upseat and the Upseat Core are ergonomic seats approved by physical therapists to support proper posture and healthy hip positioning for babies. The main differences are in how they can be used and how they are constructed. The Original Upseat functions as both a floor seat and a booster seat because it includes detachable booster straps that allow it to be secured to a dining chair, while the Upseat Core is designed to be used only as a floor seat. In terms of materials, the Original Upseat is made entirely from foam, whereas the Upseat Core features a foam seat insert combined with a plastic frame. Both seats come with a tray, but the Upseat Core offers the added convenience of storing the tray underneath the seat when it is not in use.
The Upseat Core is ideal for babies from 4-12 months. However, every baby is different and the more important factor of when to begin using the Upseat is when your little one has head/neck control, and this usually occurs somewhere around 4 months old.
The Upseat Core is made from two main materials. The Upseat Core's seat is made of polyurethane foam and the the tray and frame is made from food grade ABS plastic. Both materials are safe for children to use and do not contain any led, phthalates or BPA.

The Upseat Core was developed with the help of leading physical therapists. Its ergonomic design encourages anterior pelvic tilt; a slight forward rotation of the pelvis that engages the muscles responsible for proper, upright posture.
