"My daughter has severe developmental delays and we had the Upseat baby seat to help her to be able to understand how to sit correctly. I cannot say enough amazing things about the Upseat baby seat as it helped my daughter to use her core muscles and be upright as much as possible. She was able to sit independently at 9 months old. Now, at 2. 5 years old, she can crawl and pull to stand and do so many things. She was in a typical high chair, but has scoliosis due to low tone, and I would see her slouch into her scoliosis when she had a back to her chair.
